At our Creative Conversations Art Talk + Mixer held in Accra, we focused on “Reclaiming our narratives through art in Ghana” with our phenomxnal panelists: Yvette Nsiah (@yvette.nsiah), Trisha Nana Afoa Poku (@kesukii) and Aïda Esi Hayfron-Benjamin (@aidaesi). We discussed all things art and creating, from financing and side hustling to learning and building community through art.

The art talk and mixer was part of our closing event for the I Am Phenomxnal Womxn exhibition at Jamestown Coffee Roasters.

Trisha Nana Afoa Poku
@⁨kesukii⁩ is an Accra-based contemporary artist and art director. Her work is inspired by architecture and natural objects. She has curated and been part of 8 art exhibitions and installations in Ghana since 2019.

Yvette Nsiah
@yvette.nsiah⁩ is a painter and teacher whose work focuses on lines of the human form and face. She paints striking portraits on recycled glass and recently had her first solo exhibition at Open House Studio.

Aïda Esi Hayfron-Benjamin
@aidaesi is a creative producer and the artist liaison at Gallery 1957, Accra. She has experience working on short films, live music productions, music videos, documentaries and art exhibitions.
